Think of body treatments like a facial for your whole body, cleansing, exfoliating, and hydrating your skin, leaving it smooth and soft. Our various Body Treatments can be combined, experienced in conjunction with a massage, or experienced as stand alone treatments. We're here to help you identify which type of Body Treatment might best suit your needs or goals, and most important of all, you will never feel pressured to add a treatment or purchase any products.
Moisturizing Body Wrap
A Back Scrub is an exfoliating treatment designed to cleanse your skin, leaving it feeling revitalized, fresh, and soft. It involves the use of either salt or sugar (depending on your needs and wishes), combined with a mixture of oils and essential oils, that is rubbed into your skin. The difference between a salt and sugar scrub is the size of the granules. Salt is larger and more abrasive, better suited for rough patches of skin. It also has healing and anticeptic properties, which can kill bacteria and reduce inflammation. Sugar on the other hand is smaller, and therefor smoother and better suited for people with sensitive skin. Regardless of which you choose, both will leave your skin feeling fresh with an energetic glow.

Similar to a back scrub, a foot scrub will exfoliate and soften your feet, leaving the skin refreshed and the muscles relaxed. Our feet take a lot of wear and tear, and our shoes typically add to this. The result is that many of us have thick, rough, or dry patches of skin on various parts of our feet, along with overworked muscles throughout. A revitalizing Foot Scrub not only helps to remove and exfoliate those dry rough areas on our feet, but also soothes the overworked muscles in them.

Paraffin Wax Treatment on the hands and/or feet has both cosmetic and theraputic benefits. The warm wax is a natural emollient (something that softens and moisturizes skin while also decreasing itching or flaking), helping to make the skin soft. Not only does it add moisture, but can boost moisutre levels in the skin after treatment is complete. The heat from the wax not only helps open pores and remove dead skin cells, but also acts as a form of heat therapy. As such, it helps increase blood flow and relaxes the muscles, helping relieve pain in the hands of people suffering from arthritis, fibromyalgia, and joint issues.

A Detox Wrap involves the soothing application of a clay based mixture to your body, which will have a "pulling" action on the toxins and impurities in your skin. This is further aided by the use of a heated table, with the slight increase in your core temperature helping to increase blood flow and encouraging your body to "push" the impurities out through sweat.
A Seaweed Wrap has many of the same effects of our Detox Wrap, with the heat helping to increase blood flow and helping you sweat out toxins and impurities. But the seaweed itself is also full of proteins, vitamins, and minerals that easily soak into the skin, adding moisture. Seaweed also contains antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and Vitamin A, all of which can help rebuild elasticity in the skin (the loss of skin elasticity contributes to wrinkles due to the skin losing its ability to stretch and return to normal).
We offer Cupping Therapy as part of a massage, or as a stand alone treatment. The gentle pressure created during Cupping Therapy helps relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, and reduces inflammation by drawing blood to the affected area, helping increase your overall blood flow. Additionally, the negative pressure on the skin, muscles, and fascia can be a very relaxing and soothing experience, contrasted with the positive pressure of a Deep Tissue Massage.
